        Janet Perez Eckles, completely blind, has seen success in ways that defy logic. At 31, a retinal disease robbed her eyesight. But she gained insight to reach victory, success and a rich life of excellence.

        Her contagious passion for life spills into her audiences as she illustrates how the very weakness that makes us doubt can become the strength that makes us soar. As an international speaker, writer, author, columnist, ministry leader, founder of Islands of Peace ministries and the first blind court-certified Spanish interpreter in Florida, Janet proves that blindness, setbacks, or obstacles don’t have to limit us.

        After she earned her Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, she married and began a family. Some years later, while busy caring for her 3, 5, and 7-year old sons, she lost her eyesight.  But the same determination and drive to continue her role as a mom fueled her to step into the professional world. She overcame impossibilities and used her tenacious spirit to reach success in all areas.
